Buy or Sell Latest Sikoa and Bloodline Rumors, Plans for Wyatt Sicks on WWE Raw, More

Recent events have made it clear—there is no "offseason" for the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Typically, things can get quiet for the WWE landscape this time of year before the build to SummerSlam really gets going.

But with the debut of the mysterious Wyatt Sicks faction on WWE's Raw and the ongoing Bloodline saga with Solo Sikoa before the inevitable-feeling return of Roman Reigns, things appear to be ramping up, not slowing.

And those are just the major headlines, with names like CM Punk also coming up in "lesser" rumblings lately.

To help fans keep pace, here's a look at the must-know buzz and whether fans should consider each item a buy or sell.

Punk Ready for Match At major Event?

1 of 4

It sure feels like the CM Punk-Drew McIntyre feud has hit a peak and needs an in-ring payoff soon.

But one rumor says to expect that at SummerSlam, not the upcoming Money in the Bank PLE.

According to WrestleVotes (h/t Randall Ortman of Cageside Seats), Punk's return to in-ring action appears to be near the end of July, which would be well past the MITB event.

This one is a buy—why waste perhaps the biggest feud of the year at the event before the summer's biggest event?

Given how Punk just cost McIntyre a championship win in front of his hometown fans at Clash at the Castle and the revenge that unfolded on the June 21 edition of SmackDown, the two will have plenty of mic work and cat-and-mouse games to play in the coming weeks that should have the wait for SummerSlam feeling like a breeze.

    Verdict: Buy

Varied Programs for the Sicks?

2 of 4

What's the plan for the Wyatt Sicks group?

So goes one of the most compelling questions in pro wrestling right now and one the rumor mill keeps attempting to address.

According to Fightful Select (h/t Ortman), the plans are, in a word, huge. The report states that the group will weave "multiple storylines" in the company.

Call it the easiest buy of the week. Fans, after all, need to figure out the identity of the sixth member, if there's even one to be unveiled. Nikki Cross' character figures to get involved in the women's division, while there's a tag team to consider and a potential solo run for Uncle Howdy.

Never mind, of course, the all-out chaos the group can cause backstage or in front of crowds across all three of WWE's weekly live programs.

    Verdict: Buy

Plans for Solo Sikoa?

3 of 4

Is another Bloodline expansion on the way? Or is Solo Sikoa about to have a new name?

That's one of the bigger questions making the rounds right now with MITB on approach. According to Wrestling Observer Online's Ethan Renner, WWE applied for a "Caesar Sikoa" trademark. For Ortman, it was a sign that a new member of the Bloodline is about to arrive.

But we'll have to sell on the idea of yet another Bloodline addition to Sikoa's faction. More likely, it seems, is Sikoa getting away from that "Solo" name for, well, obvious reasons.

Beyond his simply not being alone, the inflated ego of the new Bloodline leader likely plays a role in his new name. Plus, WWE can play with empire themes this way given, well, Caesar and Roman. The two, after all, appear to be headed toward a major clash when Reigns returns.

    Verdict: Sell

Details on Sicks' Victims?

4 of 4

The Wyatt Sicks brutalized Chad Gable during the backstage carnage on Raw that announced their official arrival with the company.

    But who else?

According to Fightful Select (h/t Ortman), the Superstars attacked by the new group (and apparently what Superstars "left" before the attacks commenced) "were calculated, planned, and designed for specific reasons".

Gable falls under this, obviously, because the attack that left him bloody also got him yanked from a MITB qualifying match.

There's actually still some mystery and debate as to who the other victims of the attacks were, seeing as the darkness and chaos made it hard to tell.

Either way, it's easy to buy into the idea that each and every person involved in one form or another was meticulously planned. That tracks with WWE's new golden era built on the back of careful long-term storytelling around other factions like the Bloodline and The Judgment Day.

    Verdict: Buy
