Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of AEW Rampage on February 9.

For the past few weeks, Rampage has almost exclusively been where the storyline is playing out with Willow Nightingale, Kris Statlander, Stokely Hathaway, Saraya, Ruby Soho, Harley Cameron and Angelo Parker.

Technically, it's three storylines wrapped up into one. You have Stokely trying to get between Willow and Stat, you have Saraya and Cameron trying to break up Soho and Parker, and then you have the feud between the women on each side.

This week saw Nightingale and Statlander take on Saraya and Soho in tag team action to continue all of these story threads. We also saw The Young Bucks compete, The Undisputed Kingdom was in action, and Matt Sydal battled Mistico in a high-flying contest.

Let's take a look at everything that happened on Friday's episode of Rampage.

Undisputed Kingdom vs. Cassidy, Beretta and Romero

1 of 4

Roderick Strong, Matt Taven and Mike Bennet were accompanied to the stage by Wardlow and Adam Cole, but Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero met them in the aisle to begin the fight.

The big feud behind this match was OC vs. Strong due to their upcoming international title match at Revolution, but Taven and Bennett also attacked Chuck Taylor recently, so Beretta and Romero were looking to avenge him.

This bout started with chaos but it quickly became a by-the-books trios match once they got to the ring. Both teams traded control multiple times, but the heels seemed to be the ones controlling the pace.

One thing AEW has gotten much better at in recent months is making its trios matches easier to follow. It used to be impossible to tell who was legal in most of these bouts, but that only tends to be an issue toward the end of the match.

Romero took the pin for his team to give The Undisputed Kingdom the victory, but they didn't stop there. Romero was suplexed through some chairs to cap off the segment.

Result: The Undisputed Kingdom defeated Romero, Cassidy and Beretta

    Grade: B-

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • Tony Schiavone pointing out that Cole is in a walking boot but still chooses to use a wheelchair was funny.
    • It's weird when Rampage has entrances for the first match. There's something fun about getting right to the action.
    • Daddy Magic is always a pleasure to have on commentary. He's funny without feeling forced.
    • Romero's enziguiri always looks great.

Young Bucks Squash, Mistico vs. Matt Sydal

The Young Bucks came out for their match wearing the same bloody suits they wore on Dynamite when they attacked Sting and Darby Allin.

Matthew and Nicholas easily dispatched two jobbers so easily that Nicholas didn't even try to take off his hat. They used a low blow before hitting a BTE trigger for the win.

    Result: The Young Bucks won

    Grade: Incomplete

Another CMLL talent was in action this week when Mistico took on Sydal. Two more masked luchadors from CMLL accompanied Mistico to the ring.

The announcers played up Mistico's reputation as one of the best high-flyers in the world, but Sydal is not one to be underestimated. He is just as agile and quick on his feet, so they started with a quick pace and never slowed down.

These recent matches featuring CMLL talent have been fun, but AEW needs to do a bit more work to build up the storyline it's trying to create. Wrestling is built on what happens in the ring, but a few promos and video packages go a long way.

Sydal is capable of having a great match with almost anyone, but his win-loss record in AEW is abysmal. Mistico made it even worse by scoring the win.

This was fine but didn't quite live up to what we all know both men can do.

    Result: Mistico defeated Matt Sydal

    Grade: B

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • The Bucks had new entrance music.
    • AEW should find some new music for Mistico.
    • Sydal and Mistico made their suicide dive spot look great.

Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander vs. Saraya and Ruby Soho

Soho found a note in her pocket during her entrance with Saraya for the main event against Nightingale and Statlander.

As expected, Saraya and Harley Cameron cheated as much as possible. Soho also bent the rules but not nearly as much.

Nightingale spent the entire commercial break taking damage before she finally made the hot tag to Statlander.

This was a competitive match that took an unexpected turn when Soho abandoned Saraya and punched out Cameron, clearing the way for Willow and Stat to get the win.

Skye Blue showed up at the end before she was joined by Julia Hart for a staredown.

Result: Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander defeated Saraya and Ruby Soho

    Grade: B

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • Schiavone is not a doctor but he plays one in his mind. He's stealing my bit!
    • Soho reacted strangely when she found the note in her pocket.
    • Stokely was not as vocal on commentary as he usually would be.
    • The way Willow did the bump when she was taken off the middle turnbuckle looked great.

The Final Word

    Rampage.AEW

This week's Rampage was a solid hour of wrestling that also included a few storyline developments.

Mistico and Sydal put on the most exciting performance, but the main event was the most interesting bout due to Soho finally turning on Saraya.

The note in her pocket was clearly from Parker or someone who had evidence of Saraya's wrongdoing, so we will likely see the former Outcast teammates begin a feud that will culminate in a match at Revolution.

The Young Bucks' heel turn is going well so far, too. The crowd gave them plenty of heat during their match and promo.

Nothing groundbreaking occurred, but Friday's Rampage was a serviceable hour of entertainment.
