Drew McIntyre and the debuting Wyatt Sicks left the wrestling world buzzing following a noteworthy episode of WWE Raw on Monday.

The Scottish Warrior abruptly quit the company and the new, masked faction executed its first "massacre."

It is no wonder, then, that they headline this collection of wrestling rumors.

What is the latest on the former WWE and world champion and what updates do industry insiders have for the enigmatic new faction?

Find out the answer to those questions and more with these backstage reports.

Latest on the Wyatt Sicks Debut

Fans were left in awe following Monday's debut of the new Uncle Howdy-led group at the end of Raw, and Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select provided some backstage updates on the intriguing new act.

He noted that the team has not yet been named on WWE TV deliberately.

Sapp wrote: "Even though the group isn't likely to interact with every program on Raw, it's expected within the company that the ramifications will be widespread across various programs, with a domino effect on stories that are happening up and down the show.

"Those we spoke to said that the wide array of talent and people attacked in the story, and the characters who 'left' before the show were calculated, planned and designed for specific reasons."

    "WE'RE HERE."<br><br>UNCLE HOWDY just arrived on <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WWERaw?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#WWERaw</a> in a shocking, spectacular moment. <a href="https://t.co/kNv3mheahO">pic.twitter.com/kNv3mheahO</a>

`Considering the attention to detail prevalent in all of the QR Code clips, it is not surprising that WWE officials would have filmed certain exits from the arena by design to keep them from interacting with the new group.

We saw Otis, Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa leave earlier in the night, followed by Drew McIntyre after abruptly quitting in the show's third hour.

Considering Chad Gable was the most prominent victim of the new group, the first set of departures makes sense. Why the Scot was booked to leave the way he did will bear watching in the coming weeks and months.

Finally, Sapp reiterated his initial report that there would be no supernatural elements to this faction, with one source telling him "You can't beat ghosts with wrestling moves."

That will be a welcome change as one of the biggest issues facing the late Bray Wyatt and his Fiend persona was how it translated to the ring and actual matches.

There are still plenty of questions surrounding Uncle Howdy and Co., officially referred to by WWE Shop and the company's social media as the Wyatt 6 (or Wyatt Sicks), and that is what makes it so intriguing and fun.

If nothing else, Monday's show-closing angle was an excellent cliffhanger and should generate buzz for the upcoming week of television at least.

Praise for Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre entered Saturday's Clash at the Castle as the hometown hero and the face of the show's marketing and promotional efforts. He was the central figure on the card and the man around whom the entire show was built.

The Scot was also across the globe while his wife, Kaitlyn, underwent emergency surgery, as he revealed during the Kickoff event.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider Elite reported that McIntyre received universal praise for his professionalism in Glasgow, despite the events unfolding at home (h/t Cageside Seats).

Long considered one of the most professional workers on the roster, it was no surprise that the 39-year-old handled himself the way he did throughout the week in his home country.

It is likely a major reason officials were willing to offer the two-time WWE champion a significant deal to stay with the company, knowing full well that he would represent it the way it should be and with a full understanding of the significance a star of his magnitude plays in front of the cameras and away from them.

More important is the well-being of his wife, though. We all wish her a speedy recovery.

The NXT Arena at the WWE Performance Center exploded Tuesday night as TNA Wrestling star Joe Hendry made his first crossover appearance.

Then, he was eliminated from the No. 1 Contender's Battle Royal for the NXT Championship in short order.

A tense interaction with Shawn Michaels followed:

Tuesday's appearance will not be his last, though.

Fightful Select reported: "Joe Hendry is expected to make more appearances for NXT in the future by NXT sources we spoke with and officials were said to be 'very happy' with the reaction Hendry received."

Hendry, 36, is one of the most popular stars in any promotion right now and his appearance in NXT is already the second most-watched WWE video post-WrestleMania 40.

The Scot is one of the buzziest stars in the industry, and it's no wonder WWE would be interested in bringing him back to NXT, if for no other reason than capitalizing on the interest in him.

How the company and the gold brand follow up on his appearance remains to be seen. But if their reaction was any indication, fans may demand a more expanded role.

'Hangman' Page Expected Back Soon

The Elite has implanted itself at the top of All Elite Wrestling, and it may be getting even stronger in coming weeks with the return of "Hangman" Adam Page.

    Sapp wrote:

"After what will end up being nearly four months out of action, we're told that Hangman Page is poised for a return. We don't have a date nailed down, but it's expected to within the next month, likely by early July. Thus far we've not heard of creative plans for Hangman, though he was expected to continue as a heel."

Page has not been seen on AEW television since he lost a Triple Threat match, with Swerve Strickland, to Samoa Joe at Revolution on March 3. Sapp revealed he had contractually obligated time off and had been away dealing with a personal matter.

One would assume Page will reunite with The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada to further strengthen The Elite, potentially as soon as the upcoming Blood & Guts match on July 24, which will see the heel faction battle Team AEW.

That he is expected to remain a villain is for the best as Page needed freshening up and thrived in the role for the brief period of time we saw him in it.

Hopefully, the 32-year-old has the opportunity to expand upon it when he comes back.
